Recipes for 2 Fun Smoothie Bowls: AB & J Smoothie Bowl

A couple of fun smoothie bowl ideas to start the weekend out right! The first one (pictured bottom, left) is my daughter’s creation, an “AB& J” aka Almond Butter & Jelly AND a Chocolate Coconut Almond Bowl that makes me very joyful! (pictured top, right).

Ingredients

AB & J Bowl

6 oz unsweetened almond milk

1 Tbs unsweetened almond butte

r½ a frozen banana (sliced)

1” slice avocado

1 pitted date

6 Tbs egg white protein powder

A handful of fresh spinach

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

A dash of cinnamon

Chia seeds, sliced fresh strawberry & sliced almonds for garnish

Directions

AB & J Bowl

In a high speed blender or the large blender beaker of a hand blender mix almond milk, almond butter, frozen banana, avocado, pitted date, egg white protein powder, spinach, vanilla extract and cinnamon until smooth. Pour into a large cereal bowl and garnish decoratively with chia seeds, sliced strawberry and sliced almonds. Makes one generous serving.
