Recipes for 2 Fun Smoothie Bowls: Chocolate Coconut Almond Bowl

A couple of fun smoothie bowl ideas to start the weekend out right! The first one (pictured bottom, left) is my daughter’s creation, an “AB& J” aka Almond Butter & Jelly AND a Chocolate Coconut Almond Bowl that makes me very joyful! (pictured top, right).

Ingredients

Chocolate Coconut Almond Bowl

6 oz unsweetened almond milk

2 TBS unsweetened cocoa

1” slice avocado

½ a frozen banana (sliced)

1 pitted date

6 Tbs egg white protein powder

2 Tbs hemp protein powder

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 tsp pure almond extract

Cacao nibs, sliced almonds & unsweetened shredded coconut for garnish

Directions

Chocolate Coconut Almond Bowl

In a high speed blender or in the large blender beaker of a hand blender, mix almond milk, cocoa, avocado, banana, date, egg white protein, hemp protein, vanilla and almond extract until smooth. Pour into a large cereal bowl and garnish decoratively with cacao nibs, sliced almonds and unsweetened shredded coconut. Makes one generous serving.
