Spiced Poached Pears

One pear per serving, halved and cored

6 whole cloves

2 cinnamon sticks

1” chunk fresh ginger

Peel of a lemon


These poached pears are halved, seeded and placed in 2 cups of simmering water with 6 whole cloves, 2 cinnamon sticks, a 1” chunk of fresh sliced ginger and the peel of a lemon for 20 minutes. So delicious topped with unsweetened coconut milk whipped cream! Recipe for the coconut milk whipped cream can be found in the Dairy Substitutions section on the website under Recipes. Makes 4 servings
