Strawberry Salsa

Prep Notes

A refreshing combination of fresh strawberries, yellow pepper, jalapeno, grated lime peel, chopped cilantro, a sprinkle of sea salt and a squeeze of lime makes an easy and tasty appetizer or health snack!


1 ½-2 cups coarsely chopped fresh strawberries

¼-1/2 cup of diced yellow pepper

½ a small jalapeno pepper, finely chopped (more or less to taste)

Grated lime peel from one lime

2-4 Tbs chopped fresh cilantro

Sea salt to taste

Fresh lime juice to taste


In a medium bowl, gently toss together strawberries, yellow pepper and jalapeno. Grate the peel from one lime over bowl and gently mix in. Stir in cilantro and salt. Squeeze some fresh lime juice over mixture and gently toss. Add more of each ingredient to achieve desired taste. Serve with fresh sliced jicama, sliced yellow peppers and cucumbers and plantain chips.
