Vegan Nutty Chocolate Caramel Bowl


Prep Notes

Having my greens, superfoods and dessert all in one! My smoothie bowl is inspired by a classic candy bar! Rich, cream chocolate, topped with salted peanuts, cacao nibs and a drizzle of homemade vegan caramel. Sweet and indulgent with lots of healthy food hidden inside! Chia seeds, maca, mixed greens, avocado, cacao and banana, just to name a few!

Ingredients

1 tsp vanilla1 ½ cup unsweetened almond milk

4 Tbs unsweetened cocoa

A hefty handful of washed & dried spring mix (or other greens of choice, example spinach or kale)

3 tsp maca (I used Natierra Superfoods brand)

3 Tbs chi seeds (I used Natierra Superfoods brand)

2 frozen bananas

A few ice cubes

Garnish with chopped dry roasted peanuts, cacao nibs (I used Natierra Superfoods brand), vegan caramel (use your favorite gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free brand or make your own!)

Directions

In a high speed blender combine almond milk, vanilla, cocoa, greens, maca and chia. Blend to combine. Add frozen banana (cut in chunks) and ice cubes. Blend again until smooth and creamy. Garnish with chopped, dry roasted peanuts, cacao nibs and a drizzle of caramel sauce. Makes 3-4 servings.
